UXit Documentation

Specs

Technical specifications, supported browsers, upload limits, and third-party service notes.

Browser Requirements

UXit is built for modern desktop browsers.

  • Primary target: Current Chromium browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi.
  • Other browsers: Firefox and Safari are not primary test targets during beta.
  • Required: JavaScript, cookies, and browser storage must be enabled.

System Requirements

  • Minimum: 8 GB RAM for light to moderate usage.
  • Recommended: 16 GB RAM for larger datasets, analytics-heavy workflows, and multi-tab sessions.
  • Minimum resolution: 1280 by 720.
  • Recommended resolution: 1920 by 1080 or larger.
  • Connection: A stable internet connection is required.

Systems below the recommended baseline may still run UXit, but performance can degrade under heavier analytical workloads.

Network And VPNs

VPNs are permitted, but some shared or previously flagged VPN IP addresses may be limited by upstream protections. If access fails while using a VPN, disconnect or change your VPN routing IP.

Authentication

Current public sign-up is OAuth-first through Google, GitHub, and Microsoft.

Legacy email/password access may still exist for older or custom-domain account paths, but new self-serve sign-up uses OAuth.

UXit may receive first name, last name, email address, and avatar information from the OAuth provider when the provider supplies those fields. UXit does not pull broader personal information from the provider account.

Uploads And File Limits

Attached Images

Evaluation annotation images and use case images support JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP.

Images must be 5 MB or smaller before upload. UXit optimizes supported images before storage:

  • Evaluation annotation images are converted to WebP and scaled down when wider than 1920 px.
  • Use case images are converted to WebP and fit within an 800 by 600 px box.

Video uploads are not supported for annotations.

Muse Images

Muse image attachments support JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP.

Limits:

  • Up to 4 images per Muse request.
  • 5 MB maximum per image.
  • 8 MB maximum total image size per request.

Handoff Logos

Handoff template logos support SVG, PNG, and GIF.

Logo files must be 5 MB or smaller. GIF logos must be 2048 by 2048 px or smaller. Large PNG logos may be resized before upload.

Data Export

Settings currently exports Test Artifacts as JSON. Data export is limited to 1 export per 12 hours.

Offline mode is not available. Use a JSON export when you need a local copy of account data.

Security And Data

Data access is restricted through application-layer authorization and tenant-level database controls. Suspicious or unusual access may be limited by upstream protections.

Account deletion can be requested from Settings -> Privacy. Deletion deactivates the account immediately and processes account data erasure according to applicable privacy laws.

Third-party Software

UXit incorporates third-party and open-source software components. These components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices. This list is not exhaustive.
