Customization

Overview

Customization controls account-level preferences for how UXit labels work, updates guideline IDs, displays the interface, and saves Muse history.

The sections are Tracking, Guidelines, Color Mode, and Muse History.

Tracking

Use Tracking to choose how tracking IDs appear in Requirements work. Tracking IDs apply to Requirements, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.

Tracking Generation has three options:

• Auto: Uses UXit's default prefixes: REQ, UC, and AC.
• Manual: Lets you set custom prefixes for Requirements, Use cases, and Acceptance criteria.
• None: Hides tracking badges.

When Manual is selected, each prefix is normalized to uppercase letters and numbers. Prefixes can be up to 12 characters.

Use custom prefixes when your team, client, or external tracker already has a naming system.

Guidelines

Use Guidelines to choose how condition IDs update when you move conditions between categories.

• Update prefix on move: Changes the ID prefix to match the destination category.
• Renumber ID on move: Assigns the next unused number in the destination category.

Both preferences are enabled by default.

Color Mode

Use Color Mode to choose how UXit appears.

The Theme options are:

• Light
• Dark
• System

System follows your device or browser color preference.

Muse History

Use Muse History to choose what Muse keeps after you leave a chat or draft workflow.

• Save Muse attachments: Retains Muse attachments in Files for later viewing.
• Save Muse sessions: Auto-saves chats and draft versions under Tests. Turning it off keeps conversations ephemeral.

Best Practices

• Use Auto tracking when you want UXit to handle IDs for you.
• Use Manual tracking when IDs need to match a client, Jira, Linear, Asana, or spreadsheet system.
• Keep guideline move preferences on when condition IDs should stay consistent with their category.
• Use System color mode if you want UXit to follow your device setting.
• Save Muse sessions when you want draft history available later.
