Integrations

Connect OpenRouter so Muse can use your own model account.

Overview

Integrations is where you connect external services used by UXit. The current integration is OpenRouter for AI features.

Use this page when you want Muse to run through your own OpenRouter account instead of relying only on UXit-managed Muse credits.

API Keys

The API Keys section lets you save an OpenRouter API key.

To add a key:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Paste your key into OpenRouter API key.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Use Get a key to open OpenRouter's key page in a new tab.

BYOK option

Bring your own key when you want model spend to stay on your OpenRouter account instead of using UXit-managed Muse credits.

How Your Key Is Used

When a key is connected, the field shows a masked hint such as Connected - ****1234. The key is used for AI features that call OpenRouter.

BYOK responsibility

When you connect your own key, OpenRouter usage, charges, availability, model behavior, and outputs are your responsibility. UXit cannot provide billing support, refunds, or output guarantees for BYOK usage. Review UXit's Terms of Service and OpenRouter's terms for more information.

OpenRouter Credit Usage

When a key is connected, UXit can show OpenRouter usage details:

  • Today
  • This Month
  • All Time
  • Key limit remaining, when OpenRouter returns a key limit

Use Refresh to reload usage.

Remove A Key

Use Remove key to remove the saved OpenRouter key from UXit.

Key removal

Removing a key only removes it from UXit. You can add the same OpenRouter key again later, or revoke it inside OpenRouter if you do not want the key to exist anymore.

Best Practices

  • Use an OpenRouter key when you want direct control over model billing and limits.
  • Remove keys you no longer want UXit to use.
  • Use Muse credits when you prefer UXit-managed AI usage instead of your own OpenRouter account.
