Data Ownership & Persistence

Your evaluation data belongs to you. Unlike temporary storage platforms, UXit maintains persistent storage for your tenant—meaning your work stays available as long as your account remains active.

For free accounts: Accounts inactive for 30 days are archived (compressed to free up resources). If inactivity reaches 90 days total, the account is permanently deleted to reallocate storage capacity to active users.

For paid accounts: Your data persists for the duration of your subscription. If you cancel, the 90-day inactivity policy applies.

Important

Do not store classified, regulated, sensitive PII, or any data subject to HIPAA/SOC2 compliance requirements.

Archived Accounts

What happens when my account is archived?

After 30 days of inactivity, your account enters an archived state. All your data remains intact and can be restored anytime by logging in or using the restore function in your settings.

If your account remains archived and inactive for a total of 90 days, it will be permanently deleted to free up storage resources for active users.

What data gets purged after 90 days?

When an account is permanently deleted after 90 days of inactivity, the following are removed:

  • All evaluations and evaluation results
  • All flows and flow configurations
  • All guidelines and guideline sets
  • All requirements and specifications
  • Annotation screenshots and media files
  • User profile and settings
  • Activity history and logs

This irreversible deletion helps us maintain free storage capacity for active users.

Who is exempt from archival?

Paid plan members are completely exempt from the archival and deletion policy for the duration of their subscription. Your data will never be automatically deleted as long as your paid plan remains active.

This policy only applies to free accounts to ensure we can provide adequate storage for active community members.

How do I restore my archived account?

If your account has been archived, you can restore all your data using the restore function in your account settings. Your data will be immediately available.

Account Deletion

Important

To comply with GDPR requirements, account deletion is irrevocable. Please download your account data before processing a deletion.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your settings. This action cannot be undone. Once initiated, your account will be deleted within 72 hours. All your artifact tests, artifact files and user settings are permanently wiped from all servers and backups.

Tip

Any artifact file attachments you have uploaded via CDN will remain untouched and direct links to these files can be found within your JSON backup.

Data Export & Import

Export Data as JSON

Important

All accounts are allotted a maximum of 3 downloads/per 24 hour rotation to prevent abuse.

Download your entire tenant as a raw JSON file with one click in the setting page. This includes all evaluations, flows, guidelines, and annotations. Use this exported data in MATLAB, Excel, or other tools for offline analysis.

Import Data from JSON

Upload a previously exported JSON file to restore your tenant or re-import data you've worked on offline in MATLAB, Excel, Notion, or similar tools.

Important: While we'll do our best to parse customized JSON files, we can't guarantee a 1:1 re-import if you've heavily modified the structure offline. This is a quality-of-life feature to give you true data ownership and portability—not a promise of perfect compatibility with arbitrary edits.

(This feature is in development and not yet available in the alpha build.)

User Tenant Storage

What You Get

Your tenant includes storage for both database records and file assets with no artificial limits on artifact types. You can allocate your storage however you need: 999 images and 1 test, or 999 tests and 1 image, its your choice.

Storage Types

Artifact Tests: Structured data (test configurations, user data, metadata)

Artifact Files: Binary assets (images, videos, uploads)

These have a 1:12 ratio in your allocation. Both count against your total user tenant quota.

Image Optimization

Uploaded images are automatically compressed and converted to WebP format to save storage space. For example, a 5MB JPG will be optimized before storage.

Tip

Want to skip compression? You can link your own CDN bucket! Images will route from your CDN and serve back in-frame without our compression. This feature is available to all accounts as a thank you to reducing overhead costs ❤️

Storage Management

Manage your tenant storage directly from user settings. Visualize your usage, delete artifacts, and free up space to stay within your allocated limits.

Storage Limits

  • No per-artifact-type restrictions
  • No test execution caps
  • Use your storage allocation however fits your workflow

Fair Use & Security

We maintain platform health and performance for everyone. While even heavy usage is always welcome, we monitor for unusual patterns that might impact other users' experience. If we notice anything unexpected, we'll reach out to help optimize your setup.

IP monitoring: We track IP addresses for security purposes (detailed in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy). Unusual activity may trigger firewall blocks on flagged IPs. VPN use is completely acceptable, but be aware that shared VPN IPs flagged for abuse could affect your access.
